The Thanksgiving pumpkin, once filled with pointy sunflower seeds and kindness to squirrels, sits lopsided and deflated on the back deck having done its job with no real thanks. The dog pees on it when he thinks I'm not looking but he'll never admit it.

Well, I think he sees it as a warning.
He wouldn't dream that I would have actually INVITED squirrels to the pumpkin! lol

Snowflakes, like hundreds of wispy, glistening faeries dance in the dimness of the morning sky.
excellent, i can't help feeling that the kindnesses to squirrels should deserve better than being peed on by a dog but then that's life I guess...
