THE IMPERFECT VORPAL BLADE

As I was signing off on a few writing blogs this day as Collage Pirate, it occured to me that it has been quite some time since I actually posted.....or created.....some collage writing.

If you follow this blog you know that I collage to write.
In my jumbled mind, I feel the need to create my story characters and plots by collaging them.
If I didn't collage it didn't happen!

My Vorpal Blade goes snicker-snack and my glue stick slashes everywhere.
Nothing matters but the words.

Also, I tend to miss my two favorite characters-Violet and Dirty Tom-the most.

The story I am currently working on is about Violet and her meeting of Dirty Tom.
Dirty Tom is mute (nay politically incorrect...simply the language of the time period).....but he often has a lot to say.

So, I post here some of my collage work that helps me bring character and story to life before I get down to the act of writing.

Enjoy!

A River of Stones Post #5

A River of Stones #5

The snow whips around Old Lugh's bark with a force that would make a lesser tree crack. But there he stands, greeting me each new day, never complaining, even allowing the winter squirrels to play in his wild, old man hair.

MAGIC MOMENTS

*(Dirty Tom is a character from Violet Moorfield's diary who was created
by, and gained further depth from, the art of collage.)*
