A MAD CLOWN STORY for The MAG

The Circus with the Yellow Clown  1967 Marc Chagall

A MAD CLOWN STORY

Once upon a time I fell deliriously in love with a yellow haired clown.
But now, looking back, I cannot recall even a single moment where I thought he was funny.
 The end

**A Message to My Fellow Writers:
While I always try my hardest to visit you all, this day leaves me with
no possible time to do so.
Please know that I  respect and support you all and promise not to be
quite so horrid and selfish in the future.
Have a very creative day!
*hugs*  ~Mimi

I LOVE PLAYING WITH YELLOW CLOWNS AND WRITERS AT  THE CIRCUS....
AND AT THE MAG!

Just to clarify-*this* clown is my nephew, Sunny Pickles, who clowns for a living.....
but still, quite yellow!  ;)

It is difficult for me to think of "love" without including funny. To me, both these ideas are intertwined. Thank you for sharing this, Mimi. I hope the stress you are feeling, lets go and you have a more relaxing week.

sadly true of far too many a clown...the price of always being the one having to entertain you know...and i hope life slows down a bit for you...

Oh I like clowns, and this photo on the snowmobile is so awsome! Thanks, and I so understand when you are out of time.....and this Magpie really generates the posts! But one thing I've found, is that reading all these Magpies just really leaves a person feeling the cross between Jabberwocky and romancing the blues rolled up in one magical ride!

Mimi, I for one do not find it offensive to post and run. I post and run for reasons both outer and inner and do not consider it selfish at all. If you were to launch a work onto the world, you might go around on tour but otherwise your work would be on its own. Why not here also? I don't do the work as a token to earn social connection. I don't think we have to earn anything. But I do think the work stands on its own to rise or fall.

Could be the same reason so many kids cry when they see a clown... Where's the funny? Clever...
