5th ANNUAL AUTISM AWARENESS WALK

at Leighton School & Wilber Field & Track

The event will run from 11am to 2pm


*If you are unable to walk the track please don your FUN & HAPPY pirate garb....bring a deck chair and cheer us on!


*Pirates- We respectfully request that pirate garb be fun, happy & kid-friendly.

ABSOLUTELY NO WEAPONS-NO ALCOHOL

Please, NO doubloons to be given out.

Beads ok.

*Participate in the 3 mile walk on Wilber Track


*Learn more about Autism and resources in and near Oswego County


*Enjoy refreshments


*Let the kids engage in face painting, jump and play in the AIR HOP inflatable house and slide.


*Enjoy balloon animals, dance shows, bubble play and more!


*Win door prizes.


*Show your support for local kids and families affected by the Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I must say that this proverb has haunted(in a good way)and enchanted me sine I first stumbled upon it.

I'm compelled to write it, repeat it, imagine it, dream it and my fingers ache to collage it.

It is, in a simple sentence, everything that goats are to me.

Thank you for allowing me to share.

I didn't submit, post or link because life gets in the way of living far too often (I'm still suffering hopeless guilt over missing Farm Friday!) but it is a most wonderful blog and worth a peek. (as is Verde Farms!) I hope to find the time to follow this blog closer and participate in some of the challenges.

I love that I've discovered the world of blogging and the continual friendship and support found here. I love the challenges as they give me incentive to create. It's so much easier when you know someone cares.

The Mimi Fairy

Mimis are fairy-like beings of Arnhem Land in the folklore of the Indigenous Australians of northern Australia. They are described as having extremely thin and elongated bodies, so thin as to be in danger of breaking in case of a high wind. To avoid this, they usually spend most of their time living in rock crevices. They are said to have taught the Aborigines of Australia how to hunt, prepare kangaroo meat and use fire. They are like humans but they live in a different dimension.
Their name might come from the song of a Zebra Finch.

I adore folk tales. I so hope that I am doing my part in the world to keep
the spoken word alive.

Deeply snuggled under the electric blanket, the very best kind of snuggle, butt to butt with a giant, snoring yellow dog, cat snoozing on my feet and goat sound asleep breathing perfectly.
